I paint on suede, leather, and satin yarmulkes using highly lightfast acrylic textile paints. Most of the designs are one of a kind commisions. Some designs have caught other folk's fancy and have been adapted as a standard design yarmulke that's numbered as part of a limited edition.
While I employ the use of some stencils, for example, on some of my stock designs that involve logos, etc. to ensure accuracy, I still work on each yarmulke and treat it as any other individual piece of art that I've signed and [if appropriate]numbered....
I also make sure to put the most positive thoughts into my work, and frequently meditate on prayers and tehillim while working.
